First Gletscher in the new Season

Am vergangenem Weekend konnte ich endlich mal wieder Gletscherluft schnuppern und hab mich mit paar Freunden am Hintertuxer Gletscher ausgetobt.

Nach zwei Tagen und dem letzten Trick hab ich nicht nur einen richtig schönen Sonnebrand mit heimgenommen, sondern auch ein Wadenbeinkopf bruch....

2 Wochen Pause dann gehts auf nach Stubai ;)

Summertime in Portugal - Good times!

Hey everybody,

After hittin up Berlin I spent the few last weeks of summer in Portugal
to get some surf.

I have to admit that my surf skills aren´t the best out there but at
least I try and it is fun anyways ..that is the most important thing I guess.

There was also a little skatepark in Peniché so I took a strange board
and tried some tricks.

The surrounding looks supernice but unfortunately the ground was full of holes and bricks and like the most in snowboarding and skateboarding ..it is not always at easy as it looks like ;)

Switch Kickflip 

After surfing for 2 weeks we also spent some days in the capital of
Portugal, Lissabon. Very nice city and I was also impressed that wealthier and poorer people and districts of this city are so close togheter ..it is like the Favelas of Rio de Janheiro and some streets further on you feel like you are in Manhattan.

So that is my last blog about my summertime. I am so stoked that the new season is startin soon - can´t wait to shred the mountains again.

1st day back on Board!

Yeah today we drove to the Mölltaler Glacier to shred a little bit and just get back the feeling ..always happy if I have a board under my feet ecspecially if it is my Snowboard.

I was riding  the brandnew Artec Poprocker board for the first time and I have to say it has a very, very good pop which I didn´t really expect from a Board with a Rockershape. The board layin on the ground is the new Promodel of Lisa Filzmoser - the perfect board for girls who want to take it to the next level ..with steeze!

Then I found some wood block that I thought we could maybe jib for a short session. I shaped a little bump before it and to my surprise it worked out pretty well, ..just some fun shizzle and by the way you won´t find a park at this resort so you have to be creative ;)

Nosebonk

Through the unusual high temperatures in the end of september the snow was pretty slushy ..just the perfect conditions to warm up and jib around a little bit.

4 Tricks at Verditz Jibgarden

In January there was like hardly any snow in the välley and the conditions were harsh and super icy.

But the two Delirium Crew Riders Thomas Lassnig and Patrick Rauter still had a nice day on the Jibobstacles.

FOLGEFONNA

Hey there,

first things first: 26 hours travel time...but worth the trip!

So I've been here in Folgefonna for about 9 days now and it's been great!
The norwegian landscape is breathtaking!
The park here in Fonna is just sick...so many kickers in one line, and a couple of fun jibbs.
Due to the volcano eruption in Iceland the snow up here got kinda dirty and was melting really fast. They lost one meter in only 3 days.
We also had some really bad weather days but made the best out of that and went to Bergen for some sightseeing.

I'll be back in Austria by wednesday and already excited to get back on Dachstein!

Season's not over yet ;)

This was one of the last days of the season - hittin the snowpark in Stubai - After warming up a little bit - I was spinning some 5,7s and nearly some 9s but you can never beat the feeling of tweakin out some Methods ;)

 

One of the rare pow days these season - pillow drop in Schlick - super sketchy landing  included :D

Perfect ending for a NOT so perfect winter - but it was fun anyways

Now I am switching my boards - Skating and Surfing is ooon!!

Bei uns liegt noch immer ein bisschen Schnee! In Verditz richteten wir, (Thomas Lassnig und Patrick Rauter) ein Riffelrohr her und hitteten dies und danach ging es noch ab in den Skatepark von Afritz, der auch direkt am See liegt.

Nun geht die Saison bei uns in der Nockberge - Region im schönen Kärntner Land noch bis Anfang Mai dh slushy Landings, chillige Kickersessions, BBQ, am See rumhängen, viel Sk8boarding und Partey, braun werdn, easy jibbin und die Röcke der Dirndln werdn auch wieder kürzer ..kurz: Let the good times roll!

Frankreich Trip

Also letzte Woche war ich mit meinem Teamkollegen Fabian Karg vom Boardshop.de in Frankreich unterwegs.

Leider war dort auch nicht viel mehr Schnee als in den restlichen Alpen aber trotzdem fanden wir noch einige Pockets wo der Schnee frisch blieb und diese wenigen Spots konnten wir noch hitten. Außerdem entschädigte die beeindruckende Landschaft einiges.

Dort konnten wir in Les Deux Alpes ein paar recht gute Shoots in den Kasten bekommen, sowie den Tricktipp für einen anderen Sponsor filmen und auch ein paar Triggaz fürs neue Boardmag-Teamvideo filmen.

Alles in allem ein superlustiger Trip mit sehr, sehr viel Partey und Snowboarding, wobei ich auch wieder mal mehr zum Park fahren kam.

Konnte sogar ein paar neue Tricks stehen, natürlich nicht ohne vorher ein paar Slams einzustecken, aber das gehört wohl dazu ..hehe! Hab sogar wieder mal einen Misty Flip hervorgekramt.

So ich gebe ja die Hoffnung nicht auf, dass vielleicht doch noch einmal Schnee kommt und sonst freu ich mich halt auf de Spring Sessions in den diversen höher gelegenen Parks.

So es schaut so aus als ob der Winter bei uns langsam vorbei wäre und bevor es nun auf die Gletscher geht, nochmal den letzten Schnee vor der Haustür ausgenutzt und noch ein kleines Vid gemacht ;)

2 Days at Schlick 2000

Die spärlichen Schneefälle dieser Saison wollten gut genutzt sein so machten wir uns von Innsbruck aus mit ein paar motivierten Shredheads aus der Delirium Crew in die Schlick 2000 auf, welche praktischerweise eh nur 20 Minuten entfernt liegt und als Schneeloch bekannt ist. Da am ersten Tag starke Bewölkung vorherschte, genossen wir die 35cm fresh mit ein paar Powderlines, droppten ein paar Cliffs und suchten für den nächsten Tag einen Spot zum Kicker bauen. Bald fanden wir eine Lawinenkegel mit einem ca. 3 m hohen Felsen in der Mitte, welcher wie geschaffen für einen Gapkicker mit ca. 10m Gap war. Gleich am nächsten Tag erwartete uns Bluebird und da wir den Spot schon ausgecheckt hatten, konnten wir uns ans bauen machen, was durch den Felsen als Grundlage mit 3 Leuten in nur 2 Stunden erledigt war. Ein glückliches Händchen beim Schnick-Schnack-Schnuck brachte mir den First-Track ein, welcher gleich mit einem Bs1 Indie in den Sweetspot der Landung gestickt wurde und den Beginn für eine mellow Session, bei welcher wir uns mit ein paar BsRodeos, FsRodeos, 3er, 5er, CabUnderflips und Backloops gegenseitig pushten. Danke nochmal an Patrick Rauter und Peter Aichinger für die Session und auch für die Footage!
